Relay For Life is the world's largest fundraising event for cancer, organized by the National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM). Teams take turns walking laps overnight to symbolize that cancer never sleeps, and to honour survivors, caregivers, and those we've lost.

Yes — the Relay runs for 18 hours straight (typically 8 PM to 2 PM the next day). Teams take turns on the track so that at least one member is always walking. You don't need to walk the entire time yourself.

Absolutely. You can register as an individual (RM 50) and we'll place you in a community team on the night. Solo registrations are welcome.

A luminaria is a paper bag with a candle inside, personalised in memory of or in honour of someone affected by cancer. They are lit during the moving Candlelight Ceremony at around midnight. Each dedication costs RM 30 and is tax-deductible.

Select the 'Volunteer registration' tier at zero cost. You'll receive a briefing pack and shift assignment 2 weeks before the event. Volunteers receive a t-shirt and meals during their shift.

Yes — the walking track is flat and paved. Accessible toilets are available. Please indicate any special needs in your registration form and the NCSM team will follow up.

Children under 12 must be accompanied by a registered adult at all times. We recommend families with young children plan to attend the opening ceremony and Candlelight Ceremony (not the overnight hours). There are no separate child tickets.

The park is best reached by car (parking at Jalan Timur, RM 3 flat overnight). The nearest LRT station is Asia Jaya (15-min walk). Grab drop-off at the main park entrance on Jalan Templer.

Relay For Life carries on in rain — participants should bring rain ponchos and change of clothes. The covered stage area and canopied rest zones stay dry. We only pause the walking track if there is lightning detected within 10km (standard safety protocol).
